Villa Corsini Wedding
FRANCESCA & GIOVANNI
An elegant celebration among Renaissance gardens, historic architecture and panoramic views over the Florentine hills.
The Venue
Villa Corsini Mezzomonte is a 15th-century Florentine villa located in Impruneta, a short drive from Florence. Originally connected to the Medici family and later enriched by the Corsini dynasty, the estate preserves centuries of Florentine history through its architecture, frescoes and formal Italian gardens. Today, its panoramic position overlooking the Tuscan countryside and its expansive reception spaces make it one of the most distinctive venues for destination weddings near Florence.
Â
Built to celebrate the marriage of Prince Giovan Carlo de' Medici, Villa Corsini has welcomed guests for centuries. The legacy of the Medici and Corsini families, together with frescoes created by Florentine masters, makes the estate one of the most historically significant wedding venues in Tuscany.
The Wedding
Francesca and Giovanni celebrated their wedding at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte with more than 300 guests, gathering family and friends for a celebration inspired by opera, Italian culture and timeless elegance.
Set among Renaissance gardens and historic interiors overlooking the Florentine hills, the day unfolded on a grand scale, with multiple teams of creatives documenting every stage of the celebration.
One of the most memorable moments came during the reception, when Giovanni surprised his guests by performing Nessun Dorma from Puccini's Turandot alongside a professional tenor. The performance transformed the evening into a genuine operatic experience and perfectly reflected the artistic vision behind the wedding.
From the ceremony in the gardens to the final dances late into the evening, the celebration balanced the scale of a grand destination wedding with moments that felt genuinely personal to Francesca and Giovanni.
When Giovanni later performed Nessun Dorma alongside a professional tenor, the famous final word — "Vincerò" — felt less like an aria and more like a declaration of love.
